The maximum and minimum temperatures were recorded at 36.6 degrees Celsius and 29 degrees Celsius respectively, both three notches above what is average for this time of the season, said an official of the India Meteorological Department.
The humidity levels wavered between a high of 84 and a low of 55 percent, he added.

The city has so far received 392.7 mm of rainfall this monsoon, 27 percent below average for the season.
