New Delhi, Sep 13 (IANS) A hot and humid Tuesday lies ahead for Delhiites with the possibility of light rain in some areas, the Met office said.

The minimum temperature was recorded two notches above average at 27.4 degrees Celsius, said an official of the India Meteorological Department (IMD).

The maximum temperature is likely to be around 35 degrees Celsius, he added.

Humidity at 8.30 a.m. was recorded at 82 percent.

A total of 2 mm of rain was recorded till 8.30 a.m. in the ridge area of Delhi within the last 24 hours.

Delhi has received 575.1 mm of rainfall this monsoon, against the average of 596.4 mm.

The maximum temperature recorded Monday was 34.3 degrees Celsius while the minimum was 27.1 degrees Celsius.

New Delhi, May 9 (Inditop.com) Delhiites can expect a hot and humid day Sunday with met officials forecasting a rise in the mercury level.

The maximum temperature will hover around 39 degrees Celsius, one notch below the average for this time of the year and the minimum should be around 27 degrees, a weather official said.

The humidity level would be oscillating between 31 and 62 percent.

“There would be partly cloudy sky which will become clear during the course of the day. There is no prediction of rain,” said an Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) official.

Delhiites witnessed a humid day Saturday as well with the mercury hovering around 38 degrees Celsius.
