New Delhi, June 1 (IANS) India hopes to consolidate relations with neighbours as well as major powers in the coming years, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh Tuesday said presenting the performance report of the first year of the United Progressive Alliance government’s second term.
‘We hope to consolidate our relations with neighbours and all major powers in the years ahead,’ said Manmohan Singh in his opening remarks at the first anniversary of UPA-II government.
‘In foreign policy, our core objective is to secure for India an external environment that is conducive to our long-term economic development and to peace and stability in our region,’ said Manmohan Singh.
