New Delhi, Nov 2 (IANS) India and Poland, home to stunningly picturesque places, Wednesday discussed an accord to enhance cooperation in co-producing films.

The two sides also explored various avenues to diversify cooperation when Information and Broadcasting Minister Ambika Soni met Bogdan Zdrajewski, Poland’s Minister for Culture and National Heritage.

They also discussed exchange in the areas of film festivals and exchange programmes between the national film schools of both the countries, the information and broadcasting ministry said in a statement.

During the discussions, Soni said that inter-ministerial consultations for the proposed audio visual co-production agreement will be completed shortly.

Film cooperation between India and Poland has been growing.

A special section on contemporary Polish cinema will be screened at the International Film Festival of India, which will be held in Goa from Nov 23 – Dec 3, 2011.
