New Delhi, Decem Dec 25 (IANS) The Delhi Police constable who was injured during protests at India Gate Sunday against the Dec 16 gang-rape died Tuesday morning at a hospital here, police said.
Constable Subhash Tomar’s condition deteriorated during the night and he passed away at 6.30 a.m., a Delhi Police spokesperson said.
Tomar was reportedly beaten up and trampled upon by protesters after he fell down at Tilak Marg during the protests.
According to doctors at Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital, his condition was critical and he was on ventilator.
