New Delhi, Aug 4 (IANS) The sun and rain played hide and seek all through the day Wednesday in the capital but more rains are expected during the night, the weatherman said.
‘Partly cloudy sky with possibility of light rains and thunderstorms are expected by Thursday evening,’ an official of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said.
The maximum temperature was recorded at 33 degrees Celsius, a notch below the average, while the minimum was 27.2 degrees Celsius, normal for this time of the season.
The humidity level oscillated between a high of 86 percent and a low of 72 percent.
‘The humidity level has come down but it is still high. It will continue to be high for a few more days,’ the official added.
According to the Met office, the maximum temperature Thursday is expected to hover around 33.2 degrees Celsius.
The capital recorded 4.2 mm of rainfall from Wednesday 8.30 am to 5.30 pm.
