‘The fire erupted from the third floor of the building and soon spread to other floors. It is under control now and the flames will soon be doused completely,’ Lucknow’s Chief Fire Officer Rajendra Tiwari told reporters.

The multi-storey building houses several outlets of cars and automobiles spare parts.

According to officials, several people were inside the building when the fire broke out. While some managed to get out by themselves, others were rescued by fire-fighting officials and police.
