Gurgaon, May 31 (IANS) A 22-year-old man committed suicide by jumping from the elevated Sikanderpur Metro Station in Gurgaon Tuesday, police said.

‘Sandeep Sharma, a lab assistant in Hansraj College, jumped off the Sikanderpur Metro Station. We rushed him to the nearby hospital where he succumbed to his injuries,’ said Poonam Singh, a police officer.

Sharma, a resident of Malkaganj in Delhi, got married three years ago and is survived by an 18-month-old daughter.

‘No suicide note was recovered from the spot,’ the officer added.
