Raipur, June 4 (IANS) Police and paramilitary troopers destroyed a Maoist hideout Friday in Chhattisgarh, killing a guerrilla and recovering a large quantity of explosives.
Some 80 security personnel stormed the forested hideout in Awapalli area in Bijapur district, police officials here told IANS. An unknown number of rebels escaped into the thick forests.
Police seized explosive materials and Maoist literature.
