Kolkata, Jan 31 (IANS) World’s largest tea producer Mcleod Russel India Limited Monday reported a two percent dip in its net profit (standalone) to Rs.135.31 crore for the quarter ended Dec 31, 2010 from Rs.137.94 crore during the same period in the previous year.
A company release here said its operating profit stood at Rs.140.72 crore in the third quarter this fiscal compared to Rs.142 crore during the same period in fiscal 2009-10, registering a decrease of one percent.
The company was primarily engaged in the business of cultivation, manufacturing and sale of tea.
