Bhubaneswar, April 8 (IANS) Odisha continued to sizzle Tuesday with Sonepur town recording a maximum temperature of 42.6 degrees Celsius while over a dozen other places recorded 40 degrees and above.

Sonepur, about 280 km from here, recorded 42.6 degrees Celsius, the highest in the state.
Other places where mercury went beyond 40 degrees Celsius included Titilagarh (42.5 degrees), Angul (42.3 degrees), Talcher (42 degrees), Bolangir (41.5 degrees), Sambalpur and Hirakud (both 41.3 degrees).
Normal life was hit in Bhubaneswar which too recorded a high of 40.4 degrees Celsius.
The weatherman said the heat wave conditions would continue for at least two more days.
