Shimla, March 8 (IANS) Most of the hill stations of Himachal Pradesh Saturday saw a marginal rise in the temperature due to long sunny days, but the Met office forecast chances of rain and more snowfall in the next three days.

“There are chances of more rainfall and snowfall in the state from March 9 to 11,” an official of the local meteorological office told IANS.
He said the western disturbances – storm systems originating from Caspian Sea and moving across the Afghanistan-Pakistan region – would be active again in the region.
Most of the prominent tourist towns like Narkanda, Kalpa and Manali are likely to have light spells of snowfall, he said.
Keylong in Lahaul and Spiti district was the coldest place in the state with a low of minus 9.7 degrees.
Shimla recorded the minimum temperature at 5.7 degrees, while it was a low of minus 2.2 degrees in Kalpa in Kinnaur district, 0.0 degree in Manali, 5.3 degrees in Dalhousie and 7.4 degrees in Dharamsala.
