New Delhi, May 24 (Inditop) Delhiites will continue to experience freak weather Sunday with met officials forecasting a squall during the day that is likely to bring down the temperatures.
“Though there will be mainly clear sky in the morning but post-afternoon, the city can expect squall which is likely to bring down temperatures,” an official at the Safdarjung meteorological department told IANS.
Delhi witnessed thundershowers and strong winds following cyclonic circulation over Rajasthan Saturday. The national capital recorded 0.9 mm of rainfall till 8.30 a.m. Sunday.
The official said the situation is likely to continue for two more days and residents of the capital can expect some respite from the scorching summer.
However, the brief spell of showers Saturday increased the humidity level to 51 percent in the capital.
The maximum temperature is likely to remain three degrees below normal at 38 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature is expected to touch 25 degrees Celsius.
