Jammu, July 3 (IANS) Jammu and Kashmir’s main opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) patron Mufti Mohammad Sayeed Sunday said the Omar Abdullah government has failed to carry forward the development projects initiated during the PDP-Congress rule.

‘The present regime has not moved forward the developmental process. As a result the people are reeling under the lack of development,’ the former Jammu and Kashmir chief minister said at a public meeting in Ramsu, 170 km from here.

He alleged that during the Congress-PDP rule, new road, power and tourism projects were started, but now all of those have been stopped.

The PDP-Congress alliance ruled the state 2002-2008 and the Omar Abdullah government came to power in 2009.

The PDP has embarked upon a campaign to highlight its contribution to the development of the state during its rule and consolidate its connect with the people all across the state’s three regions.
