New Delhi, July 3 (IANS) The apex child rights panel has not got any report on the progress in the investigation into the six girls’ escape from a state-run observation home in Ghaziabad last month, an official said Tuesday.

A team of the National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR), which investigated the case of six inmates, visited the shelter Monday and observed some improvement in the facilities there.
A five-member team, led by commission member Yogesh Dube, inspected the observation home.
Dube said that the commission was yet to receive the action taken report from the district authorities.
He said there was no report on the progress in the investigation into the case of the missing girls.
The NCPCR carried out its first inspection of the facility June 4 after reports of the six girls’ escape.
