New Delhi, Jan 1 (IANS) A 28-year-old member of a banned Manipuri terrorist outfit was arrested here for his involvement in a number of extortion, abduction and bomb blast cases in his state, police said Tuesday.
Khwairakpam Khogendro Singh alias Roshan, resident of Awangkhunou Mayai Leikai in Manipur, was arrested here Dec 20 from near Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) campus in coordination with Manipur Police, said Deputy Commissioner of Police (Special Cell)Sanjeev Kumar Yadav.
“Roshan is a self-styled revenue officer of banned terrorist outfit Kangleipak Communist Party Military Council (Lamjanba Khuman),” Yadav said.
Recently, the Manipur-based cadres of the outfit committed a bomb blast at the gate of government hospital at Moirang Lamkhai.
“Roshan’s father is an excise inspector. He has studied up to Class 12 in Manipur,” Yadav said.
