New Delhi, April 7 (Inditop.com) Delhiites were greeted with a pleasant breeze Wednesday morning. Though the minimum temperature was recorded at a comfortable 19.6 degrees Celsius the met office has forecast a warm day ahead.

“The minimum temperature recorded this morning was a degree above average at 19.6 degrees Celsius. Yesterday’s daytime temperature touched a maximum of 37.2 degrees Celsius, around two degrees above average,” an India Meteorological Department (IMD) official said.

The IMD has forecast a clear day ahead with a maximum temperature of 38 degrees Celsius.

In the past week, the rising mercury in the capital has left residents sweating and yearning for respite. Wednesday’s pleasant morning was a welcome change.

“It has been really hot and it is just the first week of April. Till yesterday I was forced to switch on the air conditioner. But today morning was pleasant and I enjoyed the cool breeze after many hot days,” said Sakshi Uberoi, a hotel management student.
