New Delhi, Oct 1 (IANS) A five-rupee postage stamp on the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) was released here Monday to mark its golden jubilee.
“I feel pride to be a part of this historical event of ITBP,” Minister of State for Communications and IT Sachin Pilot said while releasing the stamp.
The stamp depicts ITBP soldiers in action in snow-bound Himalayas, where the force guards 3,488 km of Sino-Indian border.
ITBP jawans are deployed at up to 17,600 feet where temperature drop to up to minus 45 degree Celsius.
