New Delhi, Dec 2 (IANS) The central government has created various middle-level posts in the country’s top cultural institutions like the National Museum and the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) to counter a manpower crunch, parliament was informed Thursday.

‘The government has recently created a number of posts in the ASI, the National Museum, National Library and the National Archives of India to address the manpower crisis at the second and third levels below the director general,’ Minister of State for V. Parliamentary Affairs and Culture Narayansamy said in a written reply in the Rajya Sabha.

Twenty-two posts were created in the ASI, Delhi, four in the National Museum, Delhi, three in the National Library, Kolkata, and three in the National Archives of India, Delhi.
