Gurgaon, Dec 30 (IANS) Protest marches were organised Sunday by Gurgaon residents and workers seeking death penalty for the attackers in the Delhi gang-rape.

The protestors, including students and industrial workers, gathered at Leisure Valley park near Sahara Mall on the MG Road and demanded justice for the victim who was gang-raped in a moving bus in south Delhi Dec 16. The woman died Saturday at a Singapore hospital and was cremated early Sunday.
Members of the Mayfield Gardens resident welfare associations joint federation and Sectors 52, 57, 47, 48 and 49 started the march from White House in Sector 57 and walked up to the traffic police office carrying posters.
Manesar Industrial Association members agitated in Leisure Valley park in Sector 29 while members of an NGO staged protested outside Sahara Mall.
Agitated students burnt effigies of Delhi and Haryana chief ministers near Aggarwal Dharamshala in the city, demanding better security for women.
“Women in Gurgaon face several problems, especially while travelling in cabs and auto-rickshaws. The law and order situation in the city is also poor,” said a protestor.
