New Delhi, Sep 29 (IANS) Some parts of Delhi Sunday received light rain, which brought the maximum temperature down to 31.2 degrees Celsius, three notches below the average for this time of the season. More rain has been forecast for Monday.

“There might be rain and thunder shower in some parts of the city Monday as well,” said an official of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) here.
The capital recorded 28.5mm of rainfall from 8.30 a.m. to 5.30 p.m Sunday.
“Monday’s maximum temperature is likely to be 34 degrees Celsius,” added the IMD official.
The minimum temperature recorded Sunday was 22.7 degrees Celsius, average for this time of the year, while the humidity wavered between a high and low of 87 and 70 percent respectively.
Saturday’s maximum temperature settled at 34.8 degrees Celsius or average for this time of the year, while the minimum temperature was recorded a notch above the average at 24.3 degrees Celsius.
