New Delhi, Jan 12 (Inditop.com) Affording respite to Delhiites — shivering under an intense cold spell, the weatherman Tuesday said the mercury would rise in the capital Wednesday, with the possibility of light rain.
The minimum temperature is expected to rise to 9 degrees Celsius while the maximum temperature would hover around 15 degrees Celsius Wednesday.
“The sky will remain partly cloudy and light rain is expected. We are expecting that this will cause rise in temperature,” an official of the India Meteorological Department told Inditop.
The expected drizzle is due to a western disturbance and will impact the north-west of the country.
Delhi continued to reel under cold wave conditions Tuesday as the daytime temperature recorded 14.9 degrees Celsius — six notches below the average for this time of the year.
The capital recorded a minimum temperature of 6.5 degrees Celsius. The visibility was normal with no fog.
The low maximum temperature made the weather chilly. The lack of fog ensured smooth air traffic.
