New Delhi, Nov 1 (IANS) Former India hockey captain Viren Rasquinha will make a comeback in the sport after three years with the World Series Hockey (WSH) beginning Dec 17.

Rasquinha suddenly quit the game at the peak of his illustrious career when he was 27.

He obtained an MBA from the prestigious Indian School of Business (ISB), Hyderabad and is currently the COO of Olympic Gold Quest.

‘The league will see participation from some of the best hockey stars from India and abroad. This prestigious league promises a brighter outlook for the sport in India,’ Rasquinha said.

Nimbus Sport deputy general manager Karl Da Costa said: ‘We are proud to have Viren Rasquinha within our midst. His presence will provide an added boost to WSH and I am confident he will dazzle with his skill and temperament.’
