New Delhi, April 10 (Inditop.com) Riyadh Governor Prince Salman bin Abdul Aziz Al-Saud will arrive here Sunday on a six-day official visit to give a boost to ties with India.

Prince Salman, belonging to the Saudi royal family, was invited by Vice President Hamid Ansari.

Manmohan Singh visited Saudi Arabia in February, the first by an Indian prime minister in 28 years.

Saudi Arabia is an important trading and energy partner for India, with bilateral trade in 2008-09 crossing $25 billion, an external affairs ministry statement said.

“This visit will further strengthen these ties,” it added.

The Riyadh governor will hold “substantive” discussions with the vice president and address the Indian business community.
