Panaji, July 31 (Inditop.com) The Indian Navy, Coast Guard and Goa Police were Friday co-ordinating their search for a mysterious vessel reported to be sailing towards the Goa coast from Maharashtra.
However, the search operation – on since Thursday night – has not yielded any results, officials said.
“There was no specific detail about the vessel. We are not sure about the exact specification or make of the ship,” Superintendent of Police (CID) Atmaram Deshpande said.
“The Indian Navy and Coast Guard are also working simultaneously with the marine police,” he added.
Meanwhile, the Goa Police has increased vigilance along the shore and all coastal police stations and marine police units have been asked to report any unusual activity. Goa has a 105 km long coastline.
