New Delhi, July 28 (IANS) Some parts of Delhi Thursday had drizzle and some sharp showers, and commuters were caught in traffic snarls.

Traffic movement was slow at Mathura road, Sarita Vihar Metro station area, Apollo Hospital area, Govindpuri Metro station area in south Delhi and GB Road in central Delhi because of water logging.

The maximum temperature was recorded at 33.6 degrees Celsius, average for this time of the season, while the minimum settled at 26.1 degrees.

The humidity wavered between a high of 95 percent and a low of 73 percent.

So far during this monsoon, the capital has recorded 198.5 mm rainfall, 22 percent less than the normal for this period.

Friday is expected to be cloudy and heavy rains are likely to lash some parts, said an official of India Meteorological Department.

The maximum and minimum temperatures Friday are expected to be around 32 and 27 degrees Celsius respectively.
