Shimla, May 1 (Inditop.com) Himachal Pradesh continued to experience hot weather Saturday despite mild spells of rain and thundershowers in some areas of the state Friday night. The temperature in some parts of the state touched 37.6 degrees Celsius.
“Temperatures continued to remain on the higher side across the state despite some rainfall last (Friday) night. The maximum temperature remained above average by two to six degrees,” Manmohan Singh, director of the meteorological office here, told Inditop.
He said Una town, located adjoining Punjab, was the hottest in the state with a high of 37.6 degrees Celsius, whereas state capital Shimla recorded 26.4 degrees Celsius.
Sundernagar in Mandi district recorded a maximum of 35.4 degrees Celsius and Bhuntar in Kullu district recorded a high of 32 degrees Celsius.
The maximum temperature in Dharamsala in Kangra district stood at 34.8 degrees Celsius and Kalpa in Kinnaur district recorded a high temperature of 16.4 degrees Celsius.
The met department said the weather would largely remain dry Sunday.
