Lucknow, June 29 (IANS) At least six people, including two women, were killed and 16 injured after a head-on collision between a jeep and a mini bus in Uttar Pradesh’s Allahabad district Tuesday, police said.
The accident took place on the Allahabad-Rewa road in the Kaundhiyar area, about 200 km from Lucknow.
The injured were admitted to hospital where the condition of five is stated to be critical, police said.
‘Of the six killed, two are women,’ police inspector Nand Kishore told reporters in Allahabad.
People in the jeep and the mini bus were part of two different marriage parties, he added.
