New Delhi, Dec 22 (IANS) Union Home Minister Sushilkumar Shinde Saturday said that the incident like the 23-year-old woman’s gang-rape here Dec 16 could happen with his daughters also and appealed to protesters at Raisina Hill to “go home”.
“I and my associate (Minister of State for Home R.P.N. Singh) have three daughters each…we are concerned about their security. Such incident can happen to them too,” Shinde told reporters.
“I can understand the feelings of the protesters but urge them through the media to withdraw the agitation as they have shown their solidarity with the victim,” he said.
