Shimla, Feb 15 (IANS) After three days of snow and rain, the hills of Himachal Pradesh Wednesday shone bright on a sunny but chilly day, an official said here.

“It was a bright, sunny day across the state, but temperatures remained below the freezing point in many places,” an official of the meteorological office here told IANS.
Keylong, headquarters of Lahaul and Spiti, was the coldest at a minimum temperature of minus 10.1 degrees Celsius. It also experienced 3 cm snowfall.
Kalpa in Kinnaur district, which recorded 16.6 cm of snowfall, saw a low of minus 3.6 degrees, while the temperature was one degree below the freezing point in Manali, just 1.4 degrees above it in Shimla and 2.1 degrees in Dharamsala.
Manali had a light one cm snow, whereas Dharamsala received 8.4 mm rain. Saloni in Chamba district received 10 cm snow and also 31 mm rain.
The Met office here said the weather would remain dry till Thursday.
