New Delhi, Aug 31 (IANS) Two days after Delhi recorded its wettest day this year, the capital Friday saw a sunny day, with maximum temperature going a notch above average. Rains are likely Saturday.

The IMD has forecast rains for Saturday, with temperatures likely to be around 35 and 25 degrees Celsius respectively.
No rainfall was recorded in Delhi Friday, even as the sky remained partly cloudy.
The maximum temperature was 34.5 degree Celsius, a notch above average, while the minimum was two notches below average at 24.6 degree Celsius.
Delhi has received 489.1 mm in August, which is 53 percent more than average 378.8 mm for the month.
The seasonal average for the whole monsoon is however still seven percent less than average.
The level of Yamuna has meanwhile receded to 203.78 meters, more than a meter below danger level of 204.84 meters, an official from Delhi government’s flood and irrigation department said.
