New Delhi, Jan 30 (IANS) There was some relief from the cold for Delhi’s residents Monday with a slight increase in mercury on a clear and sunny day.
However, Monday’s minimum temperature was recorded 7.3 degrees Celsius, a notch below average for this time of the season but above than of Sunday minimum of 5.3 degrees.
The maximum temperature recorded was 22.2 degrees, a notch above average.
The humidity levels wavered between a high of 94 and a low of 27 percent.
“There will be mist or shallow fog in the morning and skies will remain clear and sunny during the day,” an India Meteorological Department (IMD) official said.
The maximum and minimum temperatures are expected to hover around 23 and 8 degrees Celsius, the official added.
Sunday’s maximum temperature was 20.9 degrees Celsius, a notch below average, while the minimum temperature was recorded three notches below average at 5.3 degrees.
