New Delhi, April 30 (Inditop.com) The Supreme Court Friday got three new judges, including a woman, with President Pratibha Patil elevating the chief justices of the Madras, Jharkhand and Bombay high courts.
The three are Jharkhand High Court Chief Justice Gyan Sudha Misra, Madras High Court Chief Justice Hemant Laxman Gokhale and Bombay High Court Chief Justice Anil Ramesh Dave.
They will be the judges of the Supreme Court with effect from the dates they assume charge of their offices, said a release issued by the ministry of law and justice here.
Justice Gyan Sudha Misra, the only woman judge at present in the apex court, is the first woman judge since Justice Ruma Pal who retired in June 2006.
