New Delhi, Aug 26 (IANS) One hundred and nineteen Indian ambassadors and high commissioners will gather here for their third annual conference that begins Friday and interact with top leaders from the political and business establishments.

The inaugural session Friday morning will be addressed by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and External Affairs Minister S.M. Krishna.

‘One Hundred and Nineteen Heads of Missions from Indian Embassies and High Commissions around the world will attend the conference,’ said a press release issued by the Ministry of External Affairs.

The senior diplomats will also call on President Pratibha Patil and Vice President Mohammed Hamid Ansari. They will also have separate interactive sessions with senior ministers of the union cabinet, including Home Minister P. Chidambaram, Defence Minister A.K. Antony and Human Resource Development Minister Kapil Sibal.

They will also have a special session with National Security Advisor Shivshankar Menon.

‘The HOMs will participate in a series of interactive sessions covering a wide spectrum of foreign policy issues, including developments in our immediate and extended neighbourhood, relations with key nations and regions, as well as, regional and international issues of importance to India,’ said the press release.

Besides, the senior diplomats will interact with top business leaders, including Pepisco chief Indra Nooyi and business management guru Gurcharan Das.
