Ghaziabad, Dec 6 (IANS) Two men who kidnapped a sales executive and tried to rape her in a moving car were arrested in Ghaziabad, police said Tuesday.
Annu Verma and Anil Nagar are residents of Shalimar Garden neighbourhood where the woman worked. They were held Tuesday, police said.
The incident occurred Monday evening in Shalimar Garden at 6.30 p.m. when the woman was coming out of her office.
The two dragged her into a car and molested her in the moving vehicle. The woman while resisting their rape attempt shouted for help, police said.
After hearing her cries, other motorists chased the car. The two men, sensing trouble, dropped the woman from the moving car and fled.
‘The girl lodged a complaint, after which we arrested Annu Verma and Anil Nagar,’ said Sahibabad police station official Devi Ram Gautam.
