New Delhi, Nov 1 (IANS) R. Venkateswarlu Friday took charge as the new director general of All India Radio (AIR), one of the world’s largest broadcasting stations.
According to a statement from AIR, Venkateswarlu has an experience of 35 years in the Indian Information Service and has served AIR, Doordarshan and Prasar Bharti.
AIR broadcasts in 23 languages and 146 dialects from 403 stations across the country, reaching 92 percent of Indian territory and 99 percent of its people.
