Ten people, all hailing from Jammu and Kashmir, are on trial for allegedly carrying out the blast at the Central Market in Lajpat Nagar locality here.

District and sessions judge S.P. Garg March 17 heard the final arguments in the case and fixed the matter for March 30.

Khalil Ansari, counsel for the accused, claimed they were innocent. The accused claimed that they were in police custody even before the blast.

Some of the accused claimed that the alleged recovery of arms, ammunition and explosives from several places in Jammu and Kashmir did not establish that similar explosives were used in the blast.
