New Delhi, Oct 1 (IANS) Veteran journalist, author and historian Alfred D’Cruz was honoured posthumously with the Lifetime Achievement Award for excellence in journalism by the Journalist Association of India (JAI).
The late journalist’s son accepted the honour at a function at Siri Fort Auditorium here where the 20th National Awards were given away.
Alfred D’Cruz, who passed away in June this year, retired as chief sub-editor with The Times of India, Mumbai, in 1982. He also worked as news editor with The Sunday Observer, Mumbai, and later joined The Kuwait Times as its assistant editor.
