New Delhi, Dec 27 (Inditop) A day after the national capital recorded the coldest day of the season, weather officials Saturday said the minimum temperatures are likely to come down further next week.
The minimum temperature Saturday settled at 6.5 degrees Celsius, two degrees below normal, while the maximum was 23.8 degrees Celsius. The capital Friday recorded a minimum of 6.4 degrees Celsius, the coldest of the season.
“The minimum temperature is likely to hover around six degrees in coming two to three days. The winter has set in as western disturbances are gone and people can expect more chilly weather,” said an official from the Safdarjung Meteorological Office.
The weather official forecast a bright and clear sky during the day with mist and shallow fog engulfing the national capital at night.
All the flights at Indira Gandhi International airport were running on time as visibility was clear at all runways, an airport official said.
