New Delhi, July 30 (IANS) A 35-year-old woman and her brother were arrested in west Delhi for killing her alcoholic husband, police said Saturday.
‘Kanta and her younger brother Anil were arrested from Najafgarh area Friday,’ said a police officer.
Police said that Kanta with her 21-year-old brother killed her husband Anil July 14 after he returned drunk from work. ‘They clobbered Anil with a hard object. They wanted to cremate the body but the victim’s younger brother informed us,’ said the officer.
Kanta, during interrogation, told police that she was upset as her husband had sold off her mobile phone and 50 kg wheat lying in the house to meet his liquor expenses.
