New Delhi, Feb 5 (Inditop.com) Pakistan’s High Commissioner Shahid Malik met Foreign Secretary Nirupama Rao Friday to discuss dates for the talks between foreign secretaries of the two countries likely later this month.
Pakistan’s Foreign Secretary Salman Bashir is likely to come to New Delhi for talks with Rao in the next few weeks, informed sources said.
This will be the first meeting between the two foreign secretaries since they met in New York on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly in September last year.
The Indian side has indicated it will hold “discussions with an open and positive mind” and will not like to prejudge their outcome.
All relevant issues will be discussed, including counter-terrorism, the sources added.
