Islamabad, March 31 (Inditop.com) At least six Pakistani soldiers were killed in a suicide blast Wednesday in the country’s northwest tribal region bordering Afghanistan, state television reported.

The attack by a suicide bomber at Jansi Fort near Bara town in Khyber agency also injured 20 other security personnel, Xinhua news agency reported quoting PTV.

No group has so far claimed responsibility for the attack after which curfew was imposed in the area.

The report said security forces also launched counter attacks and killed several militants shortly after the suicide attack. They blew up an explosives-laden vehicle and launched a search operation in the town.

Several militant groups including the Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan are active in Khyber agency.
