Jammu, May 19 (Inditop.com) A top commander of Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), Abu Anas, and his associate Abu Mahaz were killed in a gun battle with the security forces Wednesday in Jammu and Kashmir’s Doda district, the Indian Army said.

According to an army spokesman, Pakistani nationals Anas, a self-styled LeT divisional commander, and Mahaz were killed in a fierce gunfight in Juda Kurd area, about 190 km northeast of Jammu.

“The two were active in the area for the past 10 years and were responsible for various acts of terror,” the spokesman said.

The security forces are rating this as one of their biggest successes against terrorists in Doda district.
