Udhampur, April 17 (IANS) Voters queued up early in the morning in Jammu and Kashmir’s Udhampur Lok Sabha constituency that went to the polls Thursday, officials said.
A total 1.41 million people are eligible to elect their representative from among 13 candidates.
Balloting is being held at 2,051 polling booths. Around 7,000 polling personnel have been deployed.
This is the second round of polling in the state. The state will see five phased polling that ends May 7.
The first phase of balloting for the Jammu seat saw 68 percent voter turnout.
