New Delhi, Sep 3 (Inditop.com) Flags at the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) headquarters would be flying at half mast to mourn the death of Congress leader and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy.

“We are all bereaved,” party president Rajnath Singh told reporters, adding that he had ordered that flags be flown at half mast.

The “sudden death of Reddy has created a big void in the political life of Andhra Pradesh and the country”, Rajnath Singh said.

He referred to the late chief minister, popularly known as YSR, as a “son of the soil” and said “he had always worked for the poor and had become known for good governance”.

The helicopter in which the chief minister and four others were travelling went missing at about 9.30 a.m. Wednesday. The wreckage of the helicopter was found Thursday morning on a hilltop in the Nallamalla forest.
