New Delhi, April 16 (Inditop.com) The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Friday threatened not to let parliament function till Minister of State for External Affairs Shashi Tharoor resigned over the IPL controversy.
“Why should we listen to his statement? He should quit. We will not allow the house to function till he quits,” said BJP deputy leader Gopinath Munde.
Munde accused Tharoor of misusing his office to promote the Indian Premier League (IPL) Kochi franchise and said the government was trying to protect him.
Tharoor, who could not read out a prepared statement because of the din caused by opposition MPs, has denied the charges.
