Agra, Jan 4 (Inditop.com) Ram Shankar Katheria, Lok Sabha member from Agra, will protest against “the step-motherly treatment to Agra and the continued neglect of the city” during a visit by a delegation of Commonwealth speakers Jan 7.

The delegation is currently in New Delhi for the 20th Conference of Speakers and Presiding Officers of the Commonwealth (CSPOC), hosted by the Indian Parliament.

The BJP member, along with his followers, will submit a memorandum with a list of five demands for the development of the Taj city to the leader of the Commonwealth delegation.

The five demands are: an international airport for Agra, a barrage on the Yamuna river, an Allahabad High Court bench, more funds for the development of the city, and central administration of the Taj Trapezium Zone.

Katheria Monday told Inditop that he and his team will “go underground or appear suddenly to meet the members of the delegation to put his views across. I have nothing against the delegation nor do I intend to insult anyone. It is just that I think this is the right opportunity to highlight the step-motherly treatment to Agra and the continued neglect of the city.”
