New Delhi, Dec 30 (IANS) Terming the conduct of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) as ‘obstructive’ and ‘negative’, the Congress Friday blamed the opposition party and its allies for ensuring the Lokpal bill was not passed by the Rajya Sabha.

‘Each act by the BJP and it allies is, and was from the inception, premediated to not allow passage of this (Lokpal) bill in this session,’ Congress spokesperson Abhishek Manu Singhvi said.

‘The Congress party condemns the obstructive, dilatory, negative and opportunistic conduct of the BJP and its allies in ensuring that the Lokpal bill does not pass through the Rajya Sabha yesterday (Thursday),’ he added.
