New Delhi, May 4 (Inditop) The Congress party, which leads the United Progressive Alliance (UPA), Monday said it was confident that riding on the agenda of development it would make a clean sweep in Delhi in the Lok Sabha polls.

“The Congress will have a clean sweep in Delhi and in other states like Rajasthan, the 2008 (assembly) elections will be repeated,” party spokesperson Veerappa Moily said while addressing the media in the national capital.

“The Congress is set on a development agenda with inclusive growth,” he said. Delhi and Rajasthan go to polls Thursday.

Moily said: “Skill development is a big programme. As a result, unemployed youth have found jobs for themselves.”

About party general secretary Rahul Gandhi, he said: “We have a youth icon in Rahul Gandhi who has all the qualities to be at the top post but doesn’t want the post at this juncture.”
