New Delhi, May 8 (Inditop) A day after elections in the national capital, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will Friday organise a meeting of workers, polling agents and party candidates to assess the voting trend.
“There is a very close fight on almost all the seats and it is difficult for me to turn it into figures. We will have a meeting in evening when we will assess the situation,” Delhi BJP chief O.P. Kohli told IANS.
The meeting will take place at 5 p.m. at the party office here.
“The seven candidates, polling agents and party workers will assemble at the office. Several of the office bearers of party’s Delhi unit will also be there. We will take feedback from the agents and workers to assess the voting trend,” said a BJP leader.
Delhi recorded 53 percent voter turnout for its seven Lok Sabha seats Thursday. The counting of votes will take place May 16.
However, no such meeting is being organised by the Congress or the Bahujan Samaj Party.
“I am just going to the party office in my constituency to meet party workers but no other meeting is scheduled,” Delhi Congress Chief J.P Agarwal said.
